Decaffeinated Colombia. This coffee is grown in the highlands around the Andes mountains, the terrain is steep with many small microclimates that are particularly well-suited for coffee cultivation. The coffee is classic with notes of ripe grapefruit and chocolate. Caffeine is removed by water extraction, where coffee beans are exposed to hot water which dissolves and removes the caffeine. Afterwards the beans are dried. A gentle way to remove caffeine to retain as much flavor and aroma as possible.
